9-13-21 THOUGHTS

We are represented below in the chosen Israel, to whom God promises REDEMPTION!  David reminds me always that I am a needy person.  As is appropriate for me, David begs for God’s ear in his difficulties.  He observes that if God took note of sin, no one could stand.  We identify with this statement don’t  we?    It then seems that David sees a connection with God’s FORGIVENESS and our FEARING God.  In our busy world, WAITING does not come easy.  We must learn the art of WAITING!    We search and expect God’s answer instead of rushing to our own way.  PRAYER is here always!  God’s WORD is the source for all.  HOPE is so awesome!   We bask in the LOVINGKINDNESS of Eternal God!  We are to ABIDE in this way of living.  

Ps 130:1-8    Out of the depths I have cried to You, O LORD. 2  Lord, hear my voice! Let Your ears be attentive To the voice of my supplications. 3  If You, LORD, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who could stand? 4  But there is forgiveness with You, That You may be feared. 5  I wait for the LORD, my soul does wait, And in His word do I hope. 6  My soul waits for the Lord  More than the watchmen for the morning; Indeed, more than the watchmen for the morning.  7  O Israel, hope in the LORD; For with the LORD there is lovingkindness, And with Him is abundant redemption. 8  And He will redeem Israel From all his iniquities.

Ps 27:14        Wait for the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the LORD.
Ps 33:20        Our soul waits for the LORD; He is our help and our shield.
Ps 62:5          My soul, wait in silence for God only, For my hope is from Him.
Ps 119:81      My soul languishes   for Your salvation; I wait for Your word.

Here’s God... WAITING TO BLESS US!
Isa 30:18    Therefore the LORD longs to be gracious to you, And therefore He waits on high to have compassion on you. For the LORD is a God of justice; How blessed are all those who long for Him.

My Prayer:
O Father, we live in a world that attacks the very processes that bring us to You.  Give us wisdom to overcome O God.  Teach us to wait on you.  Slow us down and calm us O Lord.  May our hearts  abide in close relationship with you.  Help our prayers to flow into your presence continually.  May our faith and our hope grow in an ever closer walk with you.  Keep us from self and keep us from the world.  May we ever promote the kingdom you have placed us in, and may we speak of your son continually.     O Lord come.          In Jesus name          Amen
